    Indian Recipes

Not every cuisine is as rich and diverse as Indian cuisine. To a person who grew up eating and watching their parent prepare Indian food, following Indian recipes comes naturally.

To the uninitiated foodie who loves Indian flavors, it can be intimating to have a go at Indian recipes, despite it having detailed instructions with pictures.

Other things like jargon or terms that can complicate it. E.g.: There are at least two dozen names for a single type of lentil (dal), like moong dal for instance. One of the reasons for this is Indian has 23 official languages and over 200 mother tongues. I'm here to make to demystify India cuisine for you so you can succeed in the kitchen.

I share simplified regional Indian recipes, and without using any common Indian tools and appliances that you might not be familiar with like: a handi deg to make biryani or the dreaded pressure cooker.

All this without compromising on the core flavors that makes a dish taste authentic and delicious. Some of the Indian recipes might have a healthy spin, because clean eating is what this blog is all about!

To begin, why not check out my Everyday Raita or my Typical Bengali Moong Dal recipes. Both simplified, delicious, and authentic. Enjoy!
